I can’t leave without being sappy, so here’s a video of one of the sappiest songs I ever included on a TSI. It’s a good wrap-up, though, because we are ok. We’re all OK. It’s all gunna be ok, so stop trippin’ everybody. OK?
Can a swan song and a tour de force be the same thing? The real question is – can either of those exist for the least famous thing in human history? Insignificance aside, I’ve decided not to renew this domain in May…which really sucks because it may be the best title of anything in human history. But alas, everything, everything ends. Even human history. So before the Mayans come back from outer space and get pissy about what we’ve done to their ziggurats and turn us all into mole sauce, I figure I owe it to Earth to offer up one more TSI playlist. Most of these tunes are new, but there are some mixed in from the last year or so that fit into my emo farewell to the webernet. You’ll get the vibe about 30 seconds in – feel free to one-star it if you like (btw I totally scrapped the country playlist idea after getting yellow pointy tomatoes thrown at me…one at a time), you won’t hurt my feelings. Just my brittle heart. And this is probably not the end of playlists for me – I’ll at least roll out another MBP around Halloween – but I don’t have time to blog (lol…”blog”…please.) anymore, so just check my Twitter feed every now and then. Hopefully I won’t get sued or arrested for copyright infringement. Although it won’t matter after December 21 will it?
Either way, thanks to my hundreds of millions of followers, atomically speaking, for popping in ever so often. I hope over the last two years this ridiculous mess of a website has changed your life in a positive way. If it has, you really need to do some self-inventory. Take care, support the artists you like by donating to them directly, and I’ll see you somewhere on the other side of existence next Christmas!

So I’ve been at my ‘new’ job for 5 months now, and while the added responsibilities of running an office on my own were a much-welcomed change, it’s obviously hindered me from posting much on here…as you have most surely noticed. But alas, I have not forgotten my little corner of interwebs…or my smattering of readers. And although it wouldn’t look too good for the boss to be frolicking through the latest time-wasting memes (or frolicking through anything for that matter. Except maybe lettuce.), I will say that I have been able to get back into the perusing new music so you don’t have to. Not quite enough to publish a monthly playlist again, but look for another TSI in a few weeks to usher in the nice brisk highs in the upper 90′s aka Texas fall. I’m also working on a playlist that will include some country – yes, country – songs that bring back old memories for me. Don’t worry, there won’t be any commercial black t-shirt tiki bar whinebag hor*eshit crap on there…it’s more the country that make you just wanna, as my late uncle used to put it, “fight and drink beer”. It won’t be for everyone, but hey – you have your options. So keep me in your Google reader – I’m by no means gone – and there will be more toonage on the way. And if I run across some fuckery that just can’t go unposted, you know I’ll do my duty. (lol ‘dooty’ lol). Oh and download the new Friendly Fires album to tide you over…it’s absolutely aces. Ciao bitches!

One of the only singers that ever made me cry.
We only say goodbye with words…I hope you’re at peace, Amy.

It’s crazy to think that I dropped the first one of these two years ago, but it’s even more crazy to think about the guy I knew from East Texas that could put a whole lighter in his ear due to some whatever he had goin on. Missing brain matter aside, it’s monster time again. True Blood is returning, Teen Wolf will – mark my words – sweep the Emmys for the next seven years, and there’s that other thing that was teased Sunday night as well, whatever it was called. So I’m taking it upon myself to release a new MBP before someone beats me to it. “INCONCEIVABLE!!!”* you cry? Nope…just check out the aforementioned Teen Wolf soundtrack and you’ll realize that one of the six daily hits I get on this blog has to be someone in the MTV production department. But that’s ok…it’s all for the greater good, right? If my efforts keep Teen Supernatural Romance firmly fixed in the annals of literature forever, I’ll give up some credit. So without further ado…
1. Monster – Paramore
2. Unbelievable – The Last Royals
3. What You Say – The Violet May
4. When the Ships Arrive – Guano Apes
5. Hourglass – After Midnight Project
6. Until She Says – Moving Units
7. 2 Hearts – Digitalism
8. You’ll Be Mine – The Pierces
9. Take the World – She Wants Revenge
10. Mighty – Manchester Orchestra
11. My New Hero – [dweeb]
12. Safe and Sound – Capital Cities
13. Ownsome – Stripmall Architecture
14. Our Perfect Disease – The Wombats
15. In Your Blood – Computers Want Me Dead
16. As I Lay My Head Down – Other Lives
